Ramadan and Eid Cakes

The Complete Guide to Ramadan and Eid Cakes

Across Ramadan and Eid, food brings everyone together the iftar that breaks the day’s fast, the gatherings with family and friends, and the joyful celebration of Eid itself. A beautiful cake sits at the heart of those moments, whether it is a centrepiece to share when the family comes together to break their fast, or a showstopper for the Eid celebration that marks the end of the month.

This guide covers what makes a lovely Ramadan or Eid cake, the halal-friendly flavours available, how to have one delivered in time for iftar or Eid, and the designs people request most broken down in full towards the end of the page.

Suitable for a Halal Diet

Our base recipe is alcohol-free, meat-free and made without any pork, and is suitable for vegetarians, which means our cakes are suitable for those following a halal diet. We will always be straight with you about what goes into your cake, so you can order with complete confidence for the family.

Cakes for Iftar and Eid, Made for You

Every cake is a fresh brief. Whether you want an understated cake to share at iftar, an elegant gold centrepiece for the Eid table, or a fun design for the children’s celebration, we build it around your idea rather than offering a fixed catalogue. For a completely bespoke design, our Personalised Cakes service covers hand-painted detail, edible imagery and full custom work.

How the Made-to-Order Process Works

Configure your cake through our online shop at any hour, or contact us directly for a bespoke design. We confirm the design, colours, flavours and message with you before we begin, then bake it fresh for your date, nothing is frozen and nothing is mass-produced. Eid is one of our busiest celebrations, so the earlier you order, the better the choice of dates.

Halal-Friendly Flavours

The combination is yours to build. Choose a sponge from Vanilla, Chocolate, Vanilla & Chocolate, Red Velvet and Rainbow Vanilla; add a cream filling from Vanilla, Chocolate, White Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, Strawberry, Lemon, Oreo, Biscoff, Hazelnut or Cream Cheese; and a jam or spread such as Strawberry, Raspberry, Black Cherry, Lemon Curd, Biscoff, Salted Caramel or Hazelnut. A rich Ramadan chocolate cake, chocolate sponge with chocolate cream and a glossy finish, is a perennial favourite for breaking the fast, while a lighter vanilla with lemon is refreshing after a long day’s fasting.

On dietary matters: as well as being suitable for a halal diet, our base recipe is nut-free, meat-free and alcohol-free and is suitable for vegetarians. We are not an allergen-free kitchen and we do not offer egg-free cakes, and because our kitchen handles a range of ingredients we cannot guarantee against the presence of any allergen. If anyone celebrating has a diagnosed food allergy, please speak to us before ordering.

Build Your Eid Spread

Candles, a helium foil balloon and a personalised message card finish the centrepiece. To bring the whole table together for an iftar gathering or an Eid celebration, our Match & Save range adds matching Ramadan & Eid Cupcakes in the same theme, and a full dessert table styled in elegant golds and your chosen colours makes a stunning display for a larger family gathering.

How to Order for Iftar or Eid

Every cake is handcrafted to order and delivered across Birmingham and the West Midlands by our own vans, never a postal courier. We cover the full B1–B99 region plus Walsall, Wolverhampton and Dudley, with a £70 minimum order beyond the B postcodes, and deliver every day between 8:00am and 8:00pm with a one-hour time slot, convenient whether you need the cake for an evening iftar or first thing for Eid morning.

Need one quickly? Same-day cake delivery is available when you order by 11am, next-day cake delivery by 11pm the night before, and collection from our factory daily between 9:00 and 9:30am. Eid is a peak time and dates book out, so we recommend ordering a few days to a week ahead for a specific design.

Ramadan and Eid Cake Designs

The most-loved Ramadan cake designs draw on familiar, meaningful motifs. Settle on the feel, elegant, celebratory or fun for the children, and the colours, flavour and detailing follow. Here are the designs people request most, each built fresh around your idea.

Crescent Moon and Star

The crescent and star is the classic Ramadan and Eid motif, beautiful in gold on a deep navy or rich jewel tone, and instantly recognisable as a centrepiece for the table.

Lantern Designs

The glow of the Ramadan lantern (fanoos) makes a warm, atmospheric design, hand-painted or modelled onto an elegant cake, a lovely choice for an iftar gathering.

Mosque and Dome Silhouettes

A silhouette of a mosque, dome or minaret against a sunset or starry sky makes a striking, elegant centrepiece for Eid, especially in gold and deep evening colours.

“Eid Mubarak” and “Ramadan Mubarak” Cakes

Sometimes the greeting is the design. A Ramadan Mubarak cake or an “Eid Mubarak” cake with an elegant hand-lettered message is a heartfelt, timeless choice to share with family and friends.

Geometric and Gold Designs

Islamic geometric and arabesque patterns in gold and metallic detailing read as genuinely luxurious, a sophisticated, grown-up design for an elegant Eid celebration.

Designs for the Children

For the little ones, bright, fun designs with friendly crescents, stars and lanterns make Eid feel magical, cheerful, colourful and made to delight.

Whatever you have in mind, we will build your Ramadan or Eid cake around it.
